Update: Miami Beach is of two minds when it comes to Urban Beach Week. Like Heidi Klum says on her hit TV series “Project Runway,” either you are IN or you are OUT! Locals plan trips to Key West, Disney World or hunker down to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at home. Music fans and kids from all over the country sit in hours-long traffic jams to get to the hottest parties on South Beach.
This year’s line up keeps growing each day as the biggest names in the entertainment industry announce via FaceBook and Twitter their South Beach party plans. Capacity crowds topping 200,000 fans are expected to fill just a few streets in the South Beach area from Ocean Drive to Washington Avenue south of 17th Street.
