FoodTV Network fans and Miami foodies will gather next week at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate “La Cocina Latina,” with three local Latin Divas who will divulge their secret recipes for celebrity chef success. The Star Chef Season for 2009-2010 kicks off next Friday night, October 16 with Venezuelan-born Lorena Garcia, Colombiana Chef Ingrid Hoffmann and NuyoRican Chef Daisy Martinez who promise to spice things up as they chat, stir and charm Miami audiences.
Lorena Garcia appears on Univision’s Despierta America segment “Cocinando con Nestle” and hosts this unscripted night on stage with Ingrid Hoffman and Daisy Martinez. Hoffmann writes best-selling cookbooks and stars on the Food TV network’s “Simply Delicioso” series. Martinez wrote the popular (if not-so-humbly-titled) Latin cookbook “Daisy Cooks! Latin Flavors that will Rock Your World” and hosts her own show “Viva Daisy!” on the Food Network.
The Arsht Celebrity Chef series allows fans a chance to ask questions of their favorite TV chefs, to hear them answer a series of questions posed by the host in a talk show format that is candid, up close and personal, and to watch as the stars prepare a favorite recipe on stage in a manner that closely replicates their televised cooking shows.
Emeril Lagasse brings his BAM! brand of interactive cooking to the stage Saturday night, January 9 and the award-winning triple threat of Anthony Bourdain, Eric Ripert and Jacques Pepin will stage a master chef cook-off Friday November 13.
